A Guilty Pleasure

Well it does feature my Hackers was blatantly made as an attempt to tap into counter-culture, except that it was tapping into a counter culture that didn’t really exist. The people it appealed to were people who wished the counter-culture it depicted was real. I’ll hold my hand up and admit I’m one of them. It’s the same appeal sci-fi has had for generations.

I also liked it because the computer Dade used for the hack that got him banned from computers was a Compaq SLT 286 and I had one of those. :)

I still want to hack a gibson.

Shut up.
